Zebra’s RFID Media Supplies Line Expands to Meet Growing Demand

In 2006, industry watcher IDTechEx expects demand for smart media to grow significantly as more companies adopt radio frequency identification (RFID) to meet compliance mandates.

To meet this demand, Zebra has entered new supply agreements with many leading EPC Generation 2 (Gen 2) inlay manufacturers, including Alien Technology, Avery Dennison, Raflatac, Symbol Technologies, and Texas Instruments. The agreements, along with Zebra's label converting facilities in North America and Europe, enable Zebra to produce the broadest range of cost-competitive labels, tickets, wristbands, and other smart media to provide reliable RFID performance for a variety of pallet, case, and other tracking needs.

This means you can trust Zebra as your knowledgeable partner not only for reliable and robust RFID printer/encoder hardware, but also for dependable, tested smart media that matches the performance of our hardware. For more about our RFID solutions, plus the free white paper, " Gen 2 Implications for Smart Label Printing," visit www.zebra.com/rfid.Or, stop by our booth (#400) at the RFID Journal Live! 2006 executive conference in Las Vegas, May 1–3.

RW 220Put Ergonomic Efficiency in the Driver’s Seat with Compact RW 220 Mobile Printer

If your company’s mobile workforce could use a convenient, quick way to accurately document a delivery, a service performed, or a transaction, look to Zebra’s new RW 220 mobile printer for 2-inch-wide receipts.

Lightweight and easy to carry, this rugged Road Warrior shrugs off 6-foot drops to concrete. And drivers can confidently use it outdoors, even in torrential rain or blowing dust, because only RW™ series mobile printers meet the stringent IP54 dust- and water-resistance rating.

The RW 220 makes it easy to serve your customers more efficiently:

  • Secure wireless connectivity, in a choice of 802.11b or Bluetooth®, frees drivers to take the RW 220 to the point of transaction for more time with the customer.
  • Magnetic stripe/smart card reader allows real-time payment processing for improved cash flow.
  • The easy-access vehicle mount allows for instant portability from its convenient place of storage.

Drive for greater efficiency with the easy portability of our RW 220. To download the FREE "Improving Route Accounting with Mobile Printing Applications" white paper, click here.

Supercharge Printing Throughput with New Memory Option

Are you considering adding new, reliable Zebra® stationary bar code printers to your demanding environment? Consider adding the new 64 MB On-Board Linear Flash Memory option now available on Zebra’s rugged 105SL™, Z4Mplus™, Z6Mplus™, and S4M™ industrial/commercial printers, and on Xi™ series high-performance printers.

Able to store large graphics, detailed logos, and formats, the factory-installed memory option offers processing speeds quicker than ATA-style PCMCIA or CompactFlash® memory. Because it can accommodate large fonts, such the Andale® WorldType®, it's ideal for use with Zebra's Global Printing Solution -- which provides fast, multi-language, thermal printing right out of the box.
