Connect
with Enhanced Printer Powers.
What could
be better than a reliable, durable Zebra® bar code printer?
A Zebra printer enhanced with the flexibility of Zebra’s
expanding family of print
servers! These new options broaden the networking capabilities
of many Zebra printers -- including the industrial-strength
XiIIIPlus, 105SL, Z4Mplus/Z6Mplus,
and Stripe®. And only 100%-Zebra print servers offer ZebraLink™
to add the efficiency of remote printer management to your
ZPL®-based printers.
**The
new, internal ZebraNet
Wireless Print Server option frees you from expensive
recabling every time you move your XiIIIPlus,
105SL, or Z4Mplus/Z6Mplus printer. Plus, it ensures
the security of your 802.11b network and data with available
802.1X-LEAP authentication and encryption.
**New
ZebraNet
10/100 Print Server option works with wired 10Base-T,
100Base-TX, and fast Ethernet 10/100 auto-switching networks
-- giving you a flexible, lasting solution that’ll save
you administration time as your network environment evolves.
**And
for 10Base-T and Novell IPX/SPX networks, we continue to offer
the ZebraNet
PrintServer II as an economical option on many Zebra printers,
including our value-priced, compact desktop printers.

NOTE:
ZebraNet Wireless Print Server replaces the Wireless Card
Socket (WCSO) on the XiIIIPlus and 105SL
printers. Field-installed ZebraNet Wireless Print Servers
will require a firmware upgrade. Additionally, the ZebraNet
Wireless Print Server supports only 105SL printers
with firmware v. 41.11.x or higher. Zebra will support the
optional kit for older Zebra printers not supported by the
new Wireless Print Server while parts remain available. Click
here for more information regarding the ZebraNet Wireless
Print Server and ZebraNet Wireless Card Socket or contact
your local Zebra reseller.

Zebra Technologies Committed
to Support the Needs of Companies Using or Planning to Adopt
EPCglobal UHF RFID Technology.
Zebra recently hosted a two-day meeting in
Chicago of key Freedom team, Global team, and EPCglobal personnel
to define a consensus proposal for the EPCglobal Generation
2 RFID protocol standard. Zebra solidly supports a consensus
proposal as being in the interest of end users. While Zebra
feels a consensus solution best meets the needs of the industry
and end users, Zebra would support either the Global or Freedom
proposals should one be adopted.
In addition, by signing the EPCglobal's Intellectual
Property (IP) agreement earlier this year, Zebra has agreed
to make any of its intellectual property relative to the practice
of a Generation 2 RFID standard available to all EPCglobal
members on a royalty-free basis.

Protect
Print Quality with Printhead “Element Out” Detection
-- Now Standard on All XiIIIPlus Printers.
Zebra’s
110XiIIIPlus high-performance printers have
joined the rest of our Xi series in providing Element
Out detection. This standard feature delivers early warning
notification of a printhead element failure affecting bar
code integrity. Element Out detection can serve as a less
costly and more reliable alternative to online verification
since it does not detect false negatives or affect printing
throughput. For more about Zebra’s Xi series
for mission-critical printing, click
